Rent a Lens

I learned my lesson.  This message is brought to you by the stability of Microsoft Word.

And too be honest I don’t think it’s not much of a message.   I’m not sure what it is a mix between free advertising for companies like ACME Camera Co. and photography tips and a photo essay.

Last week, I had the opportunity to photograph an extended family.  We planned on some photos indoors as well as out and in order to ensure that I would be able to fit everybody into the shot indoors, I rented a 24mm lens.  The only bad thing about renting a lens is the possibility of falling in love.  And I did, it’s a beautiful lens.

Here are some test shots I took of my true loves.  We had to run to the store Thanksgiving morning for some last minute items.

And here is the money shot from the family reunion.

You are not only looking at a good looking family but some brave souls.  It was freezing!

I'm still editing all of the other photos from this session, so I don't have much time to blog.  However, if you're interested in upgrading your equipment or have a special event coming up, don't forget that you can rent not only lenses but camera bodies and lighting.

p.s. If you live around Centerville, drop by the Chick-fil-A for some photos with Santa.
